Andy Oliveira

Assistant Coach

Andy’s basketball experience started with four years at Lincoln High School. He was All City, All Section, and All State his senior year (1972). Averaged 27 ppg and scored 24 ppg as one of the top twenty two players at the All State game held at the Oakland Coliseum.

Andy was fortunate to be recruited by 100 plus colleges and chose UOP for my freshman year. He transferred his sophomore year and red shirted at UC Santa Barbara where he started the last three years; this led to being recruited to play in the NBA’s developmental league for one year.

Andy chose to go to Mexico and play his final season in their international league. Averaged 22.5 ppg and our team was fortunate to win the championship (1980). Viva la Mexico! Andy retired after 28+ years of teaching elementary school and coaching basketball along the way periodically at Nazarene Christian School, Lincoln High School, Brookside High School, and Tokay High School. Andy enjoyed his basketball experience and feel fortunate to have this opportunity as an assistant coach for Team Trouble. This organization is top notch from the players, coaching staff, and management. Our goal is to bring a top quality professional entertainment to the Stockton community.
